This year’s SMPTE Technical Conference was a blast, by which we mean that we attended many interesting technical presentations, met customers old and new in the exhibit hall and even found time to watch the first game of the World Series (Go Blue!).
Among the conference highlights were the symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning that kicked off the conference, the Women in Technology luncheon attended by several of Sohonet’s staff, presentations on new standards and the Beer Garden, sponsored by, well, us. Here’s a picture of a lonely Biergarten…
At our booth in the Exhibit Hall we featured demos of ClearView Flex and the latest version of FileRunner including a sneak peek at a very cool new feature launching next week (watch this space, or hit us up for a personal demo).
The ClearView Flex demo, paired with the Bluescape Video Collaboration environment and an Optika Touchwall were a big draw, especially when the first game of the World Series coincided with the opening night reception. Here’s our team splitting their attention between customer demos and the Dodgers’ victory.
Lastly, we were excited to have the Broadcast Beat news squad stop by for a chat. Here I am, trying to remember all the words. We had a great time and are already looking forward to SMPTE 2018.
