Billing and Collections Specialist

Sohonet is looking for an experienced billing and collections specialist to join our Soho Street, London office to work as part of our team responsible for billing and collection

Reporting to: Head of Credit

The Role:

Sohonet is looking for an experienced billing and collections specialist to join our Soho Street, London office to work as part of our team responsible for billing and collection. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to come into the office for 1 or 2 days per week.

This role is within a small team focusing on ensuring timely, accurate billing with additional responsibility for query resolution and prompt collection of the UK debtor ledger. This role would suit a self-sufficient senior biller with credit control experience who is used to working as a key player in a small team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially focused on UK, US and Australia monthly studio billing with progression to include billing of quarterly recurring charges
  • Managing the UK debtor ledger to maximise cash collection and ensuring payment to terms
  • Resolve billing queries, reconcile accounts and ensure prompt resolution through to payment
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Integrate into the finance team, providing input into system and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Experience of billing within a media environment or similar
  • Proven experience of collections and revenue management (Media / Agency)
  • A good understanding of Excel and experience of Salesforce is beneficial
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex billing issues
  • Confident, enthusiastic, diligent self-starter who is prepared to get stuck in
  • Industry experience working in media & entertainment, technology, or telecoms is a plus
