Significant investment in its high-speed metro network and a state-of-the art data centre has enabled the Pinewood Studios Group to offer advanced digital asset management services to the film and television industries. The Group recently worked with Sohonet to roll out secure wireless access points to the majority of Pinewood and Shepperton’s studio and stage locations. Pinewood’s new wireless service enables production staff to access their own servers from the stage site for the first time. This provides on-site access to existing production material which can be discussed and shared amongst crew or talent before further filming takes place. “We have a long-term partnership with Sohonet to ensure that the Pinewood Studios Group remain at the forefront of digital asset management, storage and delivery,” Darren Woolfson. read more >>
