Oscars 2022: Highlights & Winners

Lucinda Owen

Hollywood’s biggest night has taken place, honouring the industry’s greatest talent from the past 12 months. And what a night it was to celebrate for many reasons.

Sohonet is thrilled that 80% of Oscar-winning projects were collaborated on by our amazing customers. We’d also like to congratulate the wider crew on these productions, who dedicate themselves to creating award-winning work for our viewing pleasure! You’re all awesome!

Some highlights

Jane Campion’s Power of the Dog, the most nominated film of the night, took home best director. The New Zealand-born Australian director became the third female film-maker ever and the second in a row to win this category in the Academy Award’s 94-year history.

Dune led the field taking home six trophies— including awards for best cinematography, best sound and best film editing.

Apple’s ‘CODA’ is the first movie made by a streaming service to win Best Picture Oscar.
