Another IBC is in the books, and honestly, the best part of the week was just seeing so many familiar faces on our stand again. Between catch-ups and demos, it was a proper reminder of why we love this show.
We also took the chance to walk people through the whole Sohonet Platform in one place, rather than just one new feature at a time.
Most people know us for one piece of what we do, whether that's the network connecting studios, post houses and creative teams worldwide, ClearView for remote review, or FileRunner for moving production assets. This year, visitors to the stand got to see how all of that comes together as one connected platform, built around the way media teams actually work.
Two creative suites. One managed fabric. One partner behind all of it.
Review Suite We walked people through the different ways creative teams review, from live collaboration to colour-critical finishing to flexible offline review, and why dailies, editorial and finishing shouldn't be forced into the same tool.
Asset Management Suite Demos covered managing, tracking, moving, sharing, reviewing and delivering production assets securely from set through post and delivery, with teams, content and workflows staying connected the whole way through.
Media Fabric The infrastructure underneath the other two suites got its moment too: connectivity, cloud access, security, file transfer, sync and shared workspaces, backed by Sohonet engineers around the clock.
The response on the floor confirmed what we'd hoped: fewer disconnected tools and fewer vendors pointing fingers at each other is a real advantage, not just a nice line in a pitch.
Our product team ran live demos throughout the show, including the updates we'd been holding back specifically for Amsterdam.
We didn't do it alone. BIND Studio showed visitors how productions can connect their wider VFX workflow into the Sohonet ecosystem, and Resilio demonstrated the technology now powering the high-speed sync and shared workspace capabilities inside Media Fabric.
For everyone who booked time with our product team on-site, thank you, and we'll be following up shortly. If you didn't get the chance to sit down with us at the show, that offer still stands: book time with our team and we'll walk you through the platform, no stand noise required.
Couldn't make it to Amsterdam at all? We're happy to run the same demo virtually.
To everyone who stopped by the stand, joined us on the boat, or just took a minute to say hello in the aisles: thank you. Moments like these are the reason we keep coming back to IBC year after year, and we're already looking forward to picking up where we left off. Amsterdam, same time next year?
