This latest release for ClearView Flex puts control back into the hands of the customer

We are happy to announce that we have released our latest update to ClearView Flex, called Groups.  We have been listening to the request of our customers, one of which is to empower you as our customers to become more self-sufficient in how you manage your growing number of Flexboxes as part of your workflow kit and cross-project resource management.

Groups is a new framework for managing user permissions and access to Flexboxes under your Project, giving you more control over how your teams are organised.  Many settings can now be managed individually at the Flexbox level so that you can customise your setup as per your own needs. Our Support team is here to help whenever you need them – but it might be nice to speak to us a little less often!

For example, let’s say your project has different FlexBox types, meaning you have a mix of Glow, Pro, and pay-as-you-go (PAYG).  Previously, plan type (PAYG/Starter/Pro/Glow) was determined at a project level meaning for customers with multiple boxes on varying plans, we were forcing a grouping on you that may not match your needs.

Additionally, a number of settings that were applied at a project level, rather than an individual Flexbox, such as security settings and feature access controls, may also require an arbitrary grouping of Flexboxes across Projects.

Groups introduce the following enhancements:

  • New Access Control Groups – managed by Flex Admins that handle the access permissions between users and Flexboxes.  Admins can add and remove Groups as needed without commercial limitations.
  • Rolled out to ALL customers – regardless of plan type
  • No new roles – we do not have separate group-level admin permissions at this stage.  However, stay tuned; good things are coming.
  • Flexbox level settings – instance-level settings will replace previous project-level settings to give more granular control to teams. A Project can now contain Flexboxes on any of our payment plan offerings – PAYG/Starter/Pro/Glow.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team, your account manager, or our customer success team.  We would be happy to walk you through Groups and help you more effectively manage your projects. Book a demo.
